For individual: Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a safe, judgment-free space. We'll go over policies and procedures together, and I'll ask questions about your background; your history, relationships, how you're doing physically, emotionally, and mentally, so I can understand your full picture and we can build a treatment approach that's truly tailored to you.
For couples: Your first couples session marks the beginning of a structured assessment process rooted in the Gottman Method. We'll go over policies and procedures, and then I'll begin getting to know each of you; your relationship history, your story as a couple, and what's brought you to therapy. This assessment typically unfolds over three to four sessions and gives us a thorough foundation before we dive into the deeper work.

We are out-of-network providers, which means we do not bill insurance directly. We can provide super bills upon request and we accept HSA/FSA cards.
For those clients in need of additional assistance, we offer a limited number of sliding scale appointments.
See our Rates & Fees page for full details.

Session frequency is something we determine together based on your specific needs and goals.
For individuals: Most clients begin meeting weekly, which allows us to build momentum and consistency early in the theraputic process. Depending on where you are in your healing journey, we may move to bi-weekly sessions as you progress and stabilize.
For couples: Weekly sessions are strongly recommended at the start of treatment, however, some clients choose to attend bi-weekly sessions in the beginning of treatment; given that the initial assessment alone spans three to four sessions. Meting on a regular basis keeps the process moving and prevents you from losing ground between appointments.
Many couples benefit from a combination of joint couples sessions and individual sessions; allowing each partner space to do their own personal work alongside the work you're doing together. From there we gradually taper as you build the tools and confidence to navigate on your own.
There is no one-size-fits-all timeline.

Weekly sessions offer ongoing, consistent support over time.
Intensives are longer, more concentrated sessions for clients who want to move through specific work more quickly, or who prefer a condensed format.
